ifs Italia has been founded in 1997 by ifs GmbH, an IT company based in Germany that offered IT systems to utility companies across Europe, and become a privately held Italian company in 2000 when the local shareholders acquired the company through a “Management buy-out“. Since then, ifs Italia has grown becoming a leading “Solution Provider for Utilities”, delivering “best-of-breed” IT product and services for the Energy market developed in-house or partnering with international Vendors.
The Product/Service portfolio has evolved in parallel including solutions to fully manage the life cycle of the “Energy Management” processes in Generation, Distribution, Transport, Sales, Trading and Shipping of both Power and Gas.
